Dr karen Sudmeier -Rieux is a senior advisor at disaster risk reduction ;crisis management branch united nations environment programme at geneva switzerland. Dr. Karen Holds a PHD in environmental science from the university of lausanne Switzerland and Masters degrees in international development and forest ecology from switzerland and the united state . She has over a decade of experience researching , teaching and publishing on ECO-DRR. Dr. Karen currently  cordinating a golobal project on ECO-DRR,WHICH includes the development of a post- graduate course and two massive open online course on the topic . She scholar of eco system based landslide management, notably "Eco-safe roads "with expertise from nepal.

Dr.indrajit pal is assistant professor and chair in the disaster preparedness,mitigation and management,asain institute of technology,thailand.More than 18 years or experience on reaserch,teachng,training,adocancy, consultancy primarily focused on disaster risk goernance,hazard and risk assessment . risk preceptions , CBDRM public health risk,GIS and remote sensing in DRM , public health risk assesment and climate change  adaptation.He has published number of books and reasearch articles in refereed national and international journals . And he is the member of board of directiors for the global alliance of disaster research institutes (GARDI),Japan.
