About Speakers
Dr. Ananta is working as a Senior Divisional Engineering Geologist in water Resource and Development Centre, Under Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Government of Nepal. He has completed PhD from Pukyong national uniersity, Busan, South Korea. His scientific interest lies in Spatial Predictive mideling, This being primarily applied in combined physically based and statistical methods to predict landslide susceptibility . From an initial interest in Rainfall-induced landslides, He has recently switched his attention to the combination of earthquake and rainfall-induced landslide prediction.
Dr. Muhammad Shafique is working as an Associate professor in the national centre of excellence in geology, Uniersity of Peschawar, Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan. He is currently working on the natural hazard assessment in northern Pakistan. His research interest focuses on geohazards assessment mainly earthquake and landslides and he has been working on it for the last 10 years.
